Every time I watch an interview from Steven Ogg I feel like he hurts his own career everytime he opens his mouth. GTA is to videogames what fuckin the new Star Wars is to movies. Yes your going to be extremely famous. No your not gonna make a tonne of money... because no matter how good u were in it a million other ppl could have played that part and it would still be "GTA V". And I guarantee despite the fact hes gotten a bunch of TV roles he wouldn't have got otherwise hes still thinking "fuckin GTA V ruined my career. I was supposed to be the next Jack Nicholson". Google search the thing your famous for. Its not cool its embarrassing to be all "whats a videogame?"

Steven Ogg doesn't like that it defined his career, and that he is recognized worldwide as a character in a video game. He wants to be known for his roles in The Walking Dead, Emancipation, and Better Call Saul, he wants to be referred to as Steven Ogg and solely by his name. Steven will never overshadow that character, and to do it he has to become a huge Hollywood star or create the performance of a lifetime.

"Underated" dudes not underrated literally everyone knows him. Hes just butthurt and selfish thats hes not known the exact way he wants to be seen. I would give him some leeway if his acting roles were different from the character trevor but they're not. He basically plays trevor with a different name in every show hes been in. He says he doesnt wanna be seen as this psycho but then proceeds to play as a psycho in every media hes in. I was hoping to see him in gta 6 but id doubt he'd take the role unless hes money hungry

Steve looked so upset when that interviewer said "very you" because that's not what he wants to be associated with. Like he just missed the whole point, I don't think ANYONE ever listens to what he has to say.

Trevor was my least favorite character, but he's clearly a great actor. Hopefully he does more TV/Film stuff.

Judging from a bunch of interviews and a more recent podcast I watched of him, seems like an eccentric character. He is pretty cool, legit, respectful and honest. But there are some points where he seems to have complexes with his image and how video games are essentially an inferior form of art, if even that. To me it looks like he is intentionally in denial, because he hates the fact that people are so quick to associate him with a crazy type of character and what makes it worse is that being exactly that, HAS been his most successful role to date. He isn't stupid, you can tell he firmly uses the word "cartoon" to effectively disassociate himself from something he doesn't take seriously and doesn't want to be remembered as. I think a large part of of the problem here is how gaming was viewed and talked about as he grew up. He most likely finds it to be a waste of time, hence why he will never take it seriously. That's why his relationship with Trevor is so complicated, he struggles to find this medium worthwhile and has to force himself to not say anything demeaning about it.

Dude doesn’t understand It’s not just any other video game… it is in THE top 5 of most profitable/most sold games in history! And everybody has played video games in their life at one time or another, it’s 2024 cmon man!

GTA V is one of my favorite games of all time. But i think if it as a movie. If it were a movie, Trevor's performance should have won an academy award!!!

he says he appreciates it but hasn't seen more than 30 seconds of gameplay. If he actually watched the story unfold and a play through, it might change his mind. Doubt it though. He seems to think he's above that art form.
